A Fall Fav! Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail
This sexy cocktail is an amazing mix of all the best fall flavors. There are warming spices, maple syrup, bourbon, and fresh lemon juice to brighten everything up.
It's simple and ready to drink in just a few minutes. You can sweeten it with maple syrup or make it sugar-free.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz bourbon - Maker's Mark is a good bourbon whiskey. It's well priced for this cocktail, you don't have to buy the most expensive brand if you're not drinking it straight. This is a good middle ground.
- 3 oz apple cider - You can use unpasteurized apple cider with no additives. Always read the labels when you're buying it at a store to see if it contains added sugar. Apple juice is a solid substitute if you can't get apple cider.
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon) - Use freshly squeezed lemon juice if possible, it makes brings out a better flavor.
- 0.5 oz maple syrup (or simple syrup) - This is your optional sweetener and a great addition to the bourbon. You can use extra dark maple syrup for a more powerful flavor.
- A dash of ground cinnamon (optional)
- Orange Bitters - This is another optional ingredient that pairs well with all the other flavors.
- Ice
